I am teaching a class utilizing the teach-back method; this is where each person gives a brief, prepared lesson, utilizing various learning and facilitation strategies with the other students, who then provide written feedback to the individual. I had one person approach me and request my help in one mannerism and the request was to “coach to the moment” even in small bursts.
Nanocoaching is a wonderful process that I believe is often overlooked yet one that fits into our mobile world extremely well. Elliot Masie wrote about his experiences using this technique focused on his healthier lifestyle and related that “Nano-Coaching may happen via email, Instant Messenger and could be as quick as 3 minutes.” The concept is being discussed in the health care fields and I see great applications in the development of leadership programs. From a coaching and mentoring perspective leaders need support however are often faced with time constraints. Let’s re-think how we can provide sound design delivered in a more functionally efficient manner. We may be time poor however we do not need to be content poor so look into small chunks of content delivered in small bursts of time to small, mobile devices. Coach to the moment!
Wonderful points altogether, you just received a new reader. What would you suggest in regards to your submit that you just made some days in the past? Any certain?
