The Ryan Report: November 2022

There is a common theme between the “Quiet Quitting” and onboarding. Microsoft’s CEO shared that they learned that “one factor matters above all. It’s not technology or systems or culture. It’s a very-hands on manager. Care matters more than computers.” In this issue of The Ryan Report, I share a video how leadership is back to basics, we connect with care, communicate with compassion, and interact consistently to ensure a positive and productive team.

Additional ideas this month look at how leaders are focusing on “micro-understanding” and how this can create opportunities to develop deeper connections with their teams. This new process reinforces the fact that to change we must begin with a healthy look within to create the future space for all and finally I share a look at the state of the deskless workforce, several themes that apply to workers in all locations.

Let’s have a zoom-coffee so we can keep the conversation going, we don’t need being remote or at a distance to keep us from connecting and engaging – let’s learn and work together!  I’ll bring some coffee….
